The Institut de Réadaptation de Romainville, a LNA Santé Group establishment, is located just outside Paris in the eastern suburbs. This establishment of polyvalent, geriatric and neurological Follow-up and Rehabilitation Care (SSR) wished to open the home automation control of two rooms to patients who cannot use their upper limbs.

PICTOCOM makes it possible to control the roller shutter, the entrance door, the lights, the nurse call, the medical bed, the telephone and the television, thanks to the most adapted interaction mode. In autonomy, a patient is able to intervene on one of these elements with the movements of his head, or any type of contactors (pressure, muscular, breath …).

All the communication functions proposed by PICTOCOM are for residents with traditional language problems. Specific and fully customizable tree structures guarantee a response to the needs of each user.
